We are delighted to announce the appointment of Kirah Ambroziak as our new Head Coach of Junior Cricket.
Kirah is a passionate, highly qualified coach with outstanding experience across all levels of the game and a strong track record in developing young cricketers. She holds an ECB Level 2 coaching qualification, completed a BSc in Sport Coaching at Bournemouth University, and is currently completing her ECB Advanced Coach qualification (part of the 2024 cohort for Level 3).
Kirah leads with energy, inclusivity, and a deep understanding of how to develop young talent in a fun, supportive environment. She is passionate about creating opportunities for all young cricketers and is a strong advocate for girls and women in the sport. Her coaching experience includes roles with Hampshire County Cricket (Girls Pathway), the Dorset Cricket Board, and a coaching and playing internship with the Hong Kong Cricket Club, where she coached nine junior teams and delivered community programmes. Kirah has also worked as a Performance Analyst for Southern Vipers, Middlesex County Cricket Club, and the Northern Diamonds, bringing a valuable analytical perspective to her coaching.
Kirah’s coaching philosophy centres on fun, inclusive, player-led sessions that help individuals grow in confidence and skill – whatever their background or ability. Her focus as Head Coach will be on developing young talent through high-quality, engaging coaching, leading our team of ECB-qualified coaches and working closely with other sections of the club to ensure a cohesive development pathway for all young players.
Already a key figure at PPCC, Kirah plays across our senior teams and has won Sunday XI Bowler of the Season in both 2023 and 2024, as well as the 2nd XI League Bowling Award for 2024. She also leads our Schools Outreach Programme, bringing cricket into local schools, and has played a central role in running Summer Camps for our older junior players.
As PPCC’s Women’s & Girls Development Officer, Kirah has helped shape our five-year Women’s & Girls Strategy, and her involvement with the Chance to Shine Youth Advisory Board, championing inclusivity and growth across all levels of the game.
Kirah brings a wealth of experience, energy, and passion for developing young cricketers, and we are excited to welcome her into this pivotal role.
We’re excited for the season ahead - please join us in giving Kirah a very warm welcome!
